A Mindfully Merry Season

It's no secret I've been missing in action the past month and a half from anything related to this mindfulness practice chronicled here on purebyciara.com . Virtual media silence and even zero happenings on the back end as well. I could fill you in on all the crazy details of the frustration, failure, anger, upset, stress, etc. that's kept me at a standstill, but let's keep moving forward.

I was recently asked if I had any plans for Christmas and the holiday season to which I flat out responded "to enjoy it." This short, albeit, curt reply, I crafted at the end of one of the most acid reflux-inducing weeks of this entire year. My delivery sounded so jaded, the recipient probably could tell how "stick a fork in me I'm done" I was, but it's 100% something I stand by - always trying to just soak up the joy and peace of the moment and the merriment without the stress that comes with the hype associated with the end of the year.

I've always been averse to hype whether that be holidays, birthday piñatas, and major league sports championships (which we don't seem to have a shortage of in the New England area - sorry avid sports fans!). As the hype surrounding the holiday season has become more hectic, I've recoiled at times searching for some good ol' simple holiday cheer.

So with my hype filter on, but still attending to life's responsibilities, I've been enjoying the decorating, the baking, the music, the movies, the tree lots, and the company of loving people.

I'm looking forward to what I believe will be a spectacular year with great things to come!
