The first of a series of blog posts for those that love lists. Here are 7 quick and easy ways to amplify your healing capabilities that you can implement this week.
1. Drink more water
Our bodies are up to 60% water, honor that by switching your coffees and sodas for some H2O. Remember that water helps to flush toxins from the body.
2. Get moving
Steady exercise not only keeps you looking fit, it helps you stay feeling fit too! Experiment with different types of exercise to find one (or multiple) that suits you!
3. Eat more leafy greens
Leafy greens like spinach, kale, and Swiss chard are great sources of vitamin K, vitamin C, fiber, and chlorophyll.
4. Put the brakes on processed foods
Unhealthy fats and sugars found in processed foods can wreak havoc on your body. Try limiting your intake of these by planning for healthier alternatives when you're caught off guard or in a rush.
5. Eat more antioxidants
Antioxidants neutralize and remove free radicals from your bloodstream. Look for blueberries, dark chocolate (or cocoa nibs), pecans, or kidney beans next time you go to the grocery store.
6. Practice self care
Set aside uninterrupted time to pamper yourself and do some of the things you truly love doing like reading a book, going for a peaceful walk, smelling the roses, etc.
7. Make time for rest
The human body needs time to rejuvenate through sleep. While everyone requires a different amount of z's, listen to your body when it's telling you to slow down.
